University College Roosevelt (UCR) is an international honors college of Utrecht University, located in Middelburg, the Netherlands. Established in 2004, UCR offers a Liberal Arts and Sciences program that allows students to design their own curriculum by selecting courses from various disciplines, including Arts & Humanities, Social Sciences, Sciences, and Engineering. This interdisciplinary approach enables students to explore multiple interests and develop a broad academic foundation.
UCR's academic structure is characterized by its flexibility and breadth. With nearly 200 courses available, students can tailor their education to align with their passions and career aspirations. After the first year, students declare a major in one of the four departments: Arts & Humanities, Social Sciences, Sciences, or Engineering. An interdepartmental major, combining courses from multiple departments, is also an option. Special programs include Music Performance, which integrates academic studies with music courses, and the Pre-Medical program, designed for students aiming to pursue medical master's degrees.
Each academic year, UCR admits approximately 200 students from a pool of 500-600 applicants. The student body is diverse, with about half coming from the Netherlands and the rest representing various countries worldwide. This international environment fosters a multicultural community, enriching the educational experience.
For the 2022-2023 academic year, tuition fees were set at €3,750 for European students and €9,450 for international students. UCR is among the more affordable university colleges in the Netherlands and offers guaranteed housing for the entire study period on an inner-city campus.
UCR is accredited by the Dutch-Flemish Accreditation Organization (NVAO). In 2004, it was awarded an "excellent" status, confirmed with reaccreditations in 2008 and 2013. In 2019, it received an overall predicate of "good" and was awarded the "small and intensive" label by the NVAO. In the 2024 edition of the Keuzegids Onderwijs, UCR was ranked 9th out of the 11 university colleges in the Netherlands.

The college maintains an active alumni network, providing opportunities for social interaction, networking, and professional development.
